Specialized Dermatopathology Services
Summit Pathology is able to provide specialized services to dermatology and plastic surgery practices.
Dr. Sarah Barksdale, a board certified Dermatopathologist, brings thirteen years of experience to our team of pathologists. All derm cases will be read by Dr. Barksdale, who completed her dermatopathology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, in association with Harvard University.
Summit Pathology can provide the following to dermatology and plastic surgery practices:
- Slide service – with twice daily courier service along the front range.
- Pathology reading – conducted by our Board Certified Dermatopathologist, Dr. Sarah Barksdale
- Second opinions
- Superior turnaround time – within 24 hours of the receipt of specimen, in most cases
- Specialized immunohistochemistry
- Ability to accept all cases – we have contracts with nearly all insurance options in our region
